If the drop on Nari & Milani‘s Atom is the equivalent of an atom bomb going off, then the drop on Jewelz & Scott Sparks‘ new track Flashbang has to be the equivalent of an H-Bomb. I am in love with this song. The German duo’s previous collaboration, Toxic Rush, was one of my favorite tracks of 2012 and, amazingly enough, I think they have one-upped themselves with this one. They have the ‘dry-drop’ down better than anyone else I’ve heard and their overall production skill is top notch. Their epic builds in the track, the second being nearly a minute long, are huge enough to get festival-sized crowds all with their hands in the air in anticipation of what’s to come. Their big room sound is bigger and badder than most other electro/progressive tunes coming out now and I commend them for championing a new sound. Check back soon for more from this duo, as they have an incredible remix of Tommy Trash‘s Truffle Pig set to be released before too long.
