Steve Aoki definitely keeps busy, earlier today Forbes Magazine posted a video interview with him on YouTube. There is controversy surrounding Steve Aoki being an entertainer rather than a DJ, but that doesn’t take away from the amount of work he puts in. With one of the most hectic schedules in dance music, performing about three hundred shows a year, Steve Aoki‘s brand extends well beyond manning the decks. He has sculpted his own record company Dim Mak for about the past seventeen years, along with his own restaurants, headphones, clothes and shoes. In a portion of the interview Aoki says…
“I’ve learned to just take care of myself, I eat healthy, I actually don’t do drugs, and I don’t drink and I don’t smoke. There is a lot of things in my lifestyle I’ve changed, where it’s better for me as a human being, I’m happier, and I can work with a clear head and maximum potential at each show.”
Hearing this may be shocking, considering his well known party hard mentality in the EDM world. He goes on to talk about rigorous scheduling on the road as well as one night in Vegas with Lance Armstrong. Check out the video below after the jump.
Let me be the first to say this man is a perfect role model.
No booze, no drugs… in EDM BIG claims from a very
successful DJ.hope it’s true…. lol
But he sprays champagne…ok totally believable.
