Last night Zedd kicked off his North American bus tour in Boston. After all the excitement that had built up for this tour, Zedd’s opening show ended in some tragic news. The Boston Globe reported that there were three overdoses, resulting in an adult woman passing away, and two others in the hospital in critical condition.
The Spokesman for The House of Blues in Boston issued a statement:
“Last evening, there were guests at our venue in need of medical treatment during the performance. They were assisted by Boston EMS as well as on-site emergency medical personnel and then transported to local medical facilities. One individual has unfortunately passed away and our thoughts go out to their family and friends for their loss. This matter is under investigation and we are continuing to work with local officials.”
In result of the tragic incident, Zedd’s show tonight has been cancelled at The House of Blues Boston.
Out of respect to the families and friends involved in last night’s tragic loss, the show in Boston tonight is canceled.

This is an incredibly tragic event, which brings us to a very important point, when going to concerts or festivals, PLEASE be careful. While you may be having fun, remember that your life is not something to play with. We here at YourEDM open our thoughts and prayers to the family that lost a loved one.

Can’t believe in all this time they haven’t fixed their initial report that says Zedd is Russian.
Breaks my heart. Some people are so quick to try and come up on money by selling fake goods. Just another strike against the community.
Shiiiit not good. 🙁
why cancel?
why cancel it? these people would have overdosed regardless of who was playing that night. people die, its just the way she goes
More fuel to attack our little corner of the music scene. I don’t see anyone screaming to shut bars and liquor stores down when a drunk driver smashes into and kills an innocent. Instead of pointing the fingers out, people need to point them at themselves. Lack of individual responsibility. This is horrible news, and nothing short of a tragedy; but you can bet your ass that all the bad energy this creates will be fired in the wrong direction.
Wow, an adult woman passes away. Don’t people know when to quit? I mean hell yeah, I had my fun for a couple years, but I always handled my shit, so did all my friends. None of us died, or even came close. Why is it that people are still trying to go for that maximum high all the time? Idiots making this scene seem like some death causing fad. I hate people like this. I feel extremely sorry for their families, but I do not feel sorry for them. How selfish of them.
I don’t see why people feel the need to be under the influence while listening to great music,I’m a huge supporter of all things
Dance music is my drug, music is the most high, please if you feel the need to medicate at a dance show think again.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the families as well as the two in the hospital.
Amen to what nick said!
