The French record industry has seen its share of tough times. For the past ten years the industry has been in a state of decline, but it looks as though Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories has made a world of difference. The second trimester of 2013 for the industry saw nearly a 23 percent increase in sales in comparison to the same time in 2012. “Get Lucky” became the fastest ever selling single of French origin to make one million sales in the United Kingdom. While this news is exciting for the French, the allure of Random Access Memories can only last so long. What will come next to bolster the French record industry?
