For the past few months, The Chainsmokers have diligently worked to forge their position at the forefront of progressive house with a slew of remixes showcasing not only their diversity and dexterity as producers but also their impassioned desire for experimentation.

Their latest effort, an official remix of Mikky Ekko’s ‘Kids’, once again presents a new facet of the NYC duo’s expansive skill set. ¬†This time around, Alex and Drew support Mikky’s lively yet slightly nostalgic vocals with a powerful structure of swelling synths and an exquisite piano melody. While the sub-structure of the track may appear similar to many of their previous remixes, the ¬†addition of embracing horns cleverly maintains the smooth energy of the record while giving it a refreshingly grandiose sound and feel.
