I’ve never been to Shambhala, but I would imagine it like a cross between Burning Man and Electric Forest. Ever since I heard my first Excision Shambhala Mix from 2009, I have wanted to visit and experience it for myself. Between then and now, of course, I’ve had time to research and learn about the festival and what it’s really like, and my answer remains the same — I need to go there.

Nestled quietly in the Salmo River Ranch in British Columbia, Canada, this festival has been alive and well since 1998. Now in 2014, the small encampment housed over 10,000 beautiful people interested in opening themselves up for a whole weekend, or longer.

If you weren’t there, that’s ok. But if you were, dancing along the pristine waters of the Salmo River deep in the British Columbia wilderness, come relive the beauty, the exquisite detail and magic of the world’s most unique electronic music festival. And if you missed it, well, this might tease you into visions and dreams of what will most assuredly happen again this year, August 7-10, 2015. Tickets for the 18th Annual Shambhala Music Festival go on sale November 1st, and they might not last long. Special thanks to the 300+ DJs laying down their hard hitting beats and intricate productions on our six forest-borne stages And of course, you, all the beautiful people. We love you. And we can’t wait for you to start your journey home.

Tickets for the 18th annual Shambhala Festival go on sale Saturday, November 1 at 12pm noon PST. For more information, go to the Shambhala official website.
