Although they originally entered the scene making their own unique breed of indie-house, The Chainsmokers have been on a bit of a downtempo kick recently, and that is the direction they went on their latest release. The official 97th best DJs in the world, according to you know what, have put their own spin on Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne’s “Real Love”.
The track is diverse and consists of a number of different sounds. The trap influences throughout are perhaps the most noticeable, though a slight house feel is present as well. A constant progression is held the entire way through with new sounds emerging until the end.
While this is not the sound many have come to expect from the duo, they have made it their own, and are providing a nice change of pace from the progressive music everyone is familiar with. The official remix is available January 26th on Beatport.
