Great Dane, a Low End Theory enthusiast signed to Alpha Pup Records and co-founder of beat collective TeamSupreme, is releasing his third LP in three years next Tuesday. It’s a self-titled album with 20 tracks that run the variety of trap, from bubbly to hard to chill, and all of them sound just as good as the one before it. The album has a natural ebb and flow to it, allowing listeners to get hype and cool off in order to get ready for the next big track.

The track we get to premiere today is “Cosmotronique,” finding itself at the upswing part of the album. This track immediately stood out to me from my initial listen and I just had to choose it for the premiere.

As you might be able to tell from the title, “Cosmotronique” is very heavily influenced by a sort of cosmic sound. Little synth stabs amidst a deep bassline create a awe-inspiring sense of space within the track. All the while, the crisp and clean drums keep the trap beat fresh and salient, always tangible if you want to lock into that influence instead. The soft and serene soundscape is mirrored by the obvious trap influences, and the two work together beautifully for as short as the track is. At just 2:40, you barely have time to immerse yourself fully into the wonder of the track. As such, I’ve got this one on repeat.

You can pre-order the album here, and if you’d like to attend either of the release parties in Los Angeles or Denver, info is below.
