The well-known DJ AM who sadly passed 6 years ago will be remembered by friends and family in a documentary entitled As I AM: The Life and Times of DJ AM.

Pasquale Rotella, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Diplo, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Travis Barker, and more well-recognized industry figures will be featured in the film directed by Kevin Kerslake, the same director behind the infamous Electric Daisy Carnival Experience documentary. Audience’s first peak at the film will happen this April at the famous Tribeca Film Festival.

The film will detail his unfortunate struggle with drug addiction, his meteoric rise to become the first million dollar DJ in the United States, his incredibly storied personal life which includes titanic efforts to help others in recovery, tabloid romances with models and actresses, endorsement deals with Nike, Pepsi, T-Mobile and Activision, and surviving along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker a fiery plane crash a little less than a year before his untimely death in 2009 [].

“His story is very complex, he had some deep passions and very aggressive demons,” Kerslake said of the documentary that will feature footage throughout Goldstein’s life.
