Noahplause has been making waves in the community ever since his first release, which garnered support from the likes of Hucci, Flosstradamus, Diplo, and RL Grime. Now, we’ve received the latest addition to his stacked catalogue of work in the form of the genre-defying remix of Valentino Khan‘s recent festival mainstay “Deep Down Low.” The flip turns the original on its head, incorporating Noahplause’s unique ability to tailor his productions toward any and every style. The track is currently up for free download here.
The track begins with the steady kick and vocal chops from the original echoing into the space. Several percussive elements work alongside the swell, rising higher until the final punch. The drop introduces a funky, metallic synth that gives way to a deep and bass-heavy vibe. The vocals are cut in a way that makes the beat feel nearly like Jersey Club, until the rhythm is sliced in half to make way for a nasty trap section. The original tempo is brought back, keeping the length of the track interesting and in constant evolution.
