Twofold’s and Leah Culver’s emotionally charged track “Taken Back” shook foundations when it was released two months ago. Its intense lyrical subject matter was a shock, amidst the heavy bass sweeps and bellowing vocals.

Now, the official video for the track is out and aims to elicit a similar effect.

Leah Culver takes center stage in the video, dealing with a very close friend who has very real demons. The song’s lyrics deal with loss and tragedy, and the video does a fine job conveying that turmoil in a visual medium. The imagery is just jarring enough that you don’t turn it off, but you can’t look away, either.
