Friday night hoards of Hawaiian shirt wearing fans crowded into the Fonda Theater for what was to indubitably be a night full of warm breezy beats, incredible energy, and happy tropical vibes; and Thomas Jack’s set did not fail to please! In fact, the theater remained packed to the gills until he finally left the stage post-encore!

The night was already off to a wonderful start, with hometown favorites The Bixel Boys lighting up the crowd. Their energy was contagious, jumping around and throwing down straight-up solid house, so everyone was amped and feeling great when Thomas Jack hit the stage. His reception was uproarious, and adorned in his Puka Shell necklace and token shades, he was ready to take the crowd to their happy place.

He started off super mellow, remixing Of Monster’s and Men’s “Little Talks”, but then quickly amped up the pace and got people dancing to remixes of Kygo, Bob Marley, and more. He even threw in some spectacularly unique gems – soulful remixes of Aretha Franklin, and even a remix of a Beatles classic! His song choices flowed seamlessly, and his back beat of tropical flutes, pulse, and synth kept everyone swept up in the bohemian wave.

To add to the excitement, his live saxophone player came out intermittently to play on stage – pulling up members of the audience to dance with him. His rifts were a bit indulgent, but ultimately were a real crowd pleaser, and kept the audience on its toes! This interaction was second only to the incredible light display. From the 3-D palm tree holograms, to the rainbow lazer show; his team clearly knows how to keep a crowd entranced! It was nothing less than dazzling, and a great background for Thomas Jack to dance around and keep his fans happy!

High energy, great song selection, live sax – what more can you ask for at a show? If you’re in the mood for some happy, upbeat tropical house, then make sure you hit one of Thomas Jack’s shows before the end of his tour!
