For a lot of the country, New Year’s Eve means barbeques, no work, and relaxation.
For the music industry, it’s one of the biggest days of the year. For many reasons, New Year’s will spell the trajectory for the rest of the year. And while there may be many forks in the road along the way, it’s already interesting to see where we’ll be headed.
We’ve already seen three massive artists release music for the end of the year, and they’ll likely continue to do so for the 12 months to come.
Axwell Λ Ingrosso released “Dream Bigger,” a fitting title for their own career path and the general vibe of the track itself. They also released an accompanying video that recapped their 2015 with “Dream Bigger” as the soundtrack.
Martin Garrix released “Bouncybob” with 16-year-old Mesto and Justin Mylo, one of the tracks we feel will influence mainstage sounds in 2016.
Alesso experimented with a new sound on “Anthem,” a free, harder electro track that completely sets itself apart from his other work.
A bunch of other artists like Avicii and Calvin Harris have limited-time Spotify playlists up for your enjoyment. Get all of them here.
