Anonymous dance music fan and artist Demur has been putting together artwork to illustrate his thoughts as a “concerned citizen of dance music.”
“DJ Wars,” his latest creation, is unsurprisingly inspired by Star Wars and it features one group of dance music DJs and producers on the side of Jedi, and another group on the side of the Sith.
Many of dance music’s A-listers such as Daft Punk, Skrillex, deadmau5, Eric Prydz, and Knife Party find themselves on the side of “good” flanked by fellow producers Noisia, Prodigy, Knife Party, Wolfgang Gartner, Mat Zo, Laidback Luke, Aphex Twin, and even the Monstercat label.
Representing the dark side we have Carnage, Paris Hilton, DVBBS, Danny Avila, David Guetta, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – all of whom have been criticized within the dance music industry for a variety of reasons.
