For anyone looking to kick their week off with something a little more low-key and experimental, we’ve got just what you’re searching for. Interdimensional Passport, the new album from Maryland bass maestro, Spaceship Earth, will satisfy any lover of psychedelic downtempo and is sure to tickle your aural soft spots.

Case in point is our favorite track from the release, ‘Space is the Place’. Spaceship Earth is unique in the shanti/spiritual bass music scene for his fusion of crisp, squelchy production with live electric guitar, a combination he pulls off with seamless instrumentation. While several tracks on the album feature crunchy sub-bass and other, more familiar aspects of today’s electronic compositions, this tune caught our attention for it’s distinct jammy, spaced-out feel. Putting us in mind of the legendary Sun Ra, this one is smooth, mellow guitar riffs all the way through, with an ethereal soundscape floating behind them. Picture a combination of Umphrey’s McGee and Kaminanda and you’ll start to get an idea of how ‘Space is the Place’ makes us feel.

We’re truly pleased to offer you this particular track as an exclusive free download; as for the rest of the album, you can check out the full stream hereSpaceship Earth has released Interdimensional Passport through the infamous Party Time Society, and if you’re feeling the vibes, it is available for purchase on Beatport and Addictech. Happy listening!
