All the negative publicity in the world hasn’t kept Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike from becoming DJ Mag’s #1 artist, as well as selling out basically every show they go to. Much of this is because of the pure energy that exudes from their sets, at whatever expense of actual craft there may be.

However, they’re at least trying. In January, they played an all-vinyl set for about 11 minutes at an arena show in Antwerp. Now, they’re looking to up the ante by doing a complete set with only vinyl for one of the largest festivals in the world: Tomorrowland.

The announcement was made earlier this morning on the Tomorrowland Facebook page.

By massive demand, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike will go back to their roots with a Vinyl only set to end the magical weekend…

While we would love to see this happen, and sincerely doubt that any kind of tomfoolery would be going down behind the scenes of such a unique (in this day and age) event, we’re still not going to hold our breath. There’s a healthy amount of skepticism going around in this case.
