MayDay, a day often associated with peaceful marches, celebrations, and other festivities just got a bit more intense courtesy of German producer and DJ Boys Noize. To commemorate the special occasion, the artist performed in Berlin at The Peace Love and Anarchy Party’s Party (it’s a mouthful, I know). The producer’s hard, acid influenced sound has been known to rile up crowds, and amidst intense mass protests, this event appeared to be no different. Just watch the video below.

Following a string of tweets and videos of the crowd, Boys Noize told his followers that unfortunately, the police decided to cut his set short for yet to be disclosed reasons.

However, this isn’t the first time police shut down one of Boys Noize’s street performances. Back in November of 2015, the artist decided to host an impromptu street rave in Berlin, but the local law enforcement didn’t take too kindly to it and decided to break it up.
