A 26-year-old attendee has passed away at Creamfields after collapsing inside the campgrounds around midnight. The cause of death has not been announced, though it can be inferred the festival believes drugs to be involved, as they are urging their attendees to continue having fun safely and responsibly, reminding fans of their zero tolerance policy regarding illicit substances.

The festival, now in its 11th year, has seen a turnout of over 70,000 attendees, yet even with such a large attendance, the number of arrests have been relatively low. On day one, six people were arrested for possession of class A substance with intent to sell, and two men were caught attempting to smuggle over 100 ecstasy pills inside the grounds.

“Officers continue to take positive action against those who risk others’ lives by attempting to bring illegal drugs onto site. The Constabulary wants to remind people that drug supply at Creamfields will not be tolerated, and officers will take robust action where necessary.” – Cheshire Police

The identity of the 26-year-old attendee has not been released, and Creamfields has not yet made an official statement regarding the tragedy. Our hearts are with the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time.
