There have been a lot of rumors about the new iPhone 7 launch going around, especially now that the launch is only a couple of days away. One of the chief rumors being that Apple is planning on doing away with the standard 3.5mm headphone jack, a major decision that will effect the way music fans across the globe listen to their music – and it’s more or less been confirmed.
On top of the new specs rumors, a new rumor has surfaced that on September 7th of this year, alongside the new iPhone 7 reveal, there will be another reveal pertaining to Beats headphones. The leaked information came from an email inviting members of the press to the iPhone reveal happening later this week, but within that email there was some previously unknown information. The email stated that attendees will be able to explore the new iPhone, while also having the ability to “Discover new products from Beats by Dre.” We can only assume that since Beats are now a product of Apple, that the new headphones will be in support of Apple’s efforts to get rid of the headphone jack from the new iPhone. This presents a couple outcomes of how the new Beats headphones will interact with the iPhone.
On the one hand, the new headphones could continue the successful trend of listening wirelessly, or they could be iPhone specific headphones made to use exclusively with Apple products. Either way, we will find out soon enough!
