Mt Eden are veterans of the scene, having been around for just under a decade now. They’re still releasing quality tracks, too, able to compete with some of the current big dogs with their recent releases. Their newest effort brings an old classic back to life, namely Rusko’s “Everyday.”

The duo have stripped down Rusko’s complex production into a horn-based trap piece, simplifying the track as a whole while fully keeping the emotional atmosphere that the original curates. Mt Eden starts their remix off with a short intro which features recognizable vocal cuts from “Everyday” before kicking things up a notch with some huge horns. A simple kick and snare beat plays underneath, putting the listener’s focus on the horns’ progressions and the vibes they achieve. The horns do have a similar sound to ones used in their other releases from this year, “Fall With You” and their remix of “Glades,” but it seems like Mt Eden is just trying to make that ‘their’ sound, which is all good with me.

They’ve released a cool short video clip which features live shots from shows with their “Everyday” remix playing over it, which can be streamed below. And be sure to grab full track for free HERE!
