Callie Reiff may be 17 years old, but she pumps out some of the most ferocious bass cuts in the scene right now. Earning approval from the likes of Skrillex and A-Trak, the NYC standout is continuing to turn heads with every release to her name. This fall, she came forth with “Shadow Dancing” and “Jawbreaker” via Fool’s Gold Records, and she looks to now complete the EP with remixes from some fellow up-and-coming artists.
Havok Roth’s remix could shake rooms if the volume is loud enough with its thrashing dubstep growls and pummeling 808s. JSTJR uses the kick drum as his base, and ever time it hits listeners, an ear-tearing synth accompanies it. Finally, Lil Texas attaches Reiff’s original handiwork to bouncing grooves with a dog-like bark accent to finish it off.
Overall, this is an impressive EP from a bunch of bass newcomers who are certainly on the rise. Check out Callie Reiff’s full Shadow Dancing EP below and purchase it here.
