I believe the future of the hard dubstep and trap branches of electronic music will be in good hands in a couple of years. Even though guys like DJ Snake, NGHTMRE, and Mr. Carmack are pushing the boundaries with their production techniques and musical knack, theirs a new breed learning from them and making the kind of sound we can expect from some of these top dogs. Earlier this week, two of these acts got together and released a thrilling collaboration for free.

Trio NONSENS and producer Holly teamed up for their dance-floor obliterator “2 Kill a Stage.” On this track, we hear a bass-stuffed rhythm accompanied with a jerky squeek carrying a subtle, yet effective melody. Seeing as both artists have seen releases on labels like Mad Decent, Kannibalen, Good Enuff, and Ones To Watch, I’d say these guys are planning on moving up the ladder with every new track they drop together or separately. This track’s rowdiness is currently supported by artists like Valentino Khan, Party Favor, EPTIC, QUIX, and many more bass music trailblazers.
