Middlelands‘ inaugural festival proved to be a massive success, loved by electronic music fans and artists alike — but bass heads are already gearing up for next year, as Bassnectar has agreed to come back!


In fact, he’s coming back every year. Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella extended the invite to the “Bass God,” making him Middlelands’ first official headlining resident. He’s already a signature act at Insomniac’s Electric Forest, playing both weekends this year, and with no end of his residency in sight — so, this move also feels right.

In a Facebook update, Bassnectar shared the news:

Thank you Middlelands! We were totally blown away by this venue – one of the most perfect places in the world for a festival like this!

Pasquale asked me to come on board annually as musical resident, which means we are already planning our return in 2018 – this forest feels like a new home, and we were thrilled and honored to be a part of it! 🙂
