America’s Got Talent clearly has a thing for ventriloquists, as 12-year-old Darci Lynne Farmer went on last night to become the third ventriloquist winner in AGT’s 12 seasons.
Farmer uses a variety of puppets, each with its own unique personality, to wow the judges with incredible vocal performances and a blend of comedy and adolescent charm. Farmer brought her puppet Petunia back on Wednesday for a performance of “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better),” along with a surprise duet with fellow ventriloquist Terry Fator, who won season 2 of America’s Got Talent.

This was perhaps the youngest finale of America’s Got Talent, with Farmer being only 12 years old, and her opponent, Angelica Hale, who’s 10. Hale brought out fellow contestant Kechi Okwuchi and Kelly Clarkson, who together sang the latter’s hit “Stronger.”
Ultimately, however, it was Farmer who won the $1 million prize along with a headlining appearance at a Las Vegas show.
