The day for 2017’s DJ Mag Top 100 to be revealed has arrived.

Even since just 12 months ago, the landscape of electronic music has gone through many changes. Festivals are featuring different headliners, various acts are rising and making noise, and others have experienced mild or severe slumps.

While not an entirely accurate portrayal of the dance music culture on its own, the DJ Mag Top 100 is undoubtedly a significant piece of a larger puzzle that represents mass, popular appeal.

See our predictions for the 2017 DJ Mag Top 100 right here.

To get this out of the way: the DJ Mag Top 100 long ago ceased to be about technical skill; it is not a ranking of artists who are at the top of their game in the act of legitimate “DJ’ing,” though many of them are quite proficient DJs nonetheless. For a long time, the ranking has been a popularity list, and DJ Mag nor any of the DJs who end up in the Top 100 have tried to claim anything different.

This article will be updated live throughout the day, beginning at 12:42 PT when the list starts to be announced via Instagram and Twitter. Keep your eye on this page, if you wish, for the quickest updates on this year’s DJ Mag Top 100.
