The Chainsmokers will drop their debut album Memories… Do Not Open this Friday! Beyond that though, they’ve also planned a massive arena tour set to start Thursday, April 13. News that the tour will be performed live already has us pretty stoked, including information that Matt McGuire will be joining the group for the duration of the tour as their live drummer.
However, we still haven’t gotten a clear look at the stage or setup of the stage on tour – until now. If you saw Zeds Dead on their last tour, you’ll definitely recognize the array of rotating lights… though to The Chainsmokers’ credit, the scale here looks much grander.
The stage will also be filled with live instruments, including a drum kit for McGuire and keyboards/drum pads for Alex and Drew. Many guest vocalists will be joining them on tour, so plenty of mic stands abound. And since this is a legit arena tour, expect a lot of extra lights and lasers.
