David Guetta is certainly a household name — at least when it comes to EDM. So, to ask who might play his role in a film about the life and times of the global sensation is a valid question (one recently posed by The Guardian).
The actor would portray a club promoter and DJ that first launched into superstardom after producing “I Gotta Feeling” for the Black Eyed Peas. He’d channel the producer, who throughout his career has landed collaborations with nearly every pop star, from Sia to Nicki Minaj, Usher, Rihanna, Akon, Justin Bieber — and that’s just name dropping a few. He’d have to play a Grammy-award winning hitmaker that is an unstoppable force in mainstream dance music.
The guy who could fill those shoes on screen? According to Guetta, it’s none other than Ryan Gosling.
Just let that sink in for a moment. It actually works.
In the recent rapid fire interview with The Guardian, Guetta also talks his earliest memory, greatest fear, most embarrassing moment, guilty pleasure, being in love, what he wants to be remembered by, and most importantly his phone wallpaper. Things get really deep.
We don’t want to give it all away. Check out the full interview here, and keep your fingers crossed that Gosling jumps on this opportunity to act as Guetta in a feature film!
