Ellie Goulding gets a drum 'n bass treatment and it is absolutely glorious. Something I never expected to hear this well executed, the 17 year old Savo brings it with this fire remix. Beautiful panning, epic bass-lines, and exciting, gritty dnb synthesis are sure to blow this rendition up. Mixing the chill vibes of Goulding with excellent production and an extremely unique view on this track, Savo proves his worth as one of the youngest, serious producers on the scene. Late last night, Yasmine from Krewella hosted an impromptu Ustream session where people could ask her questions and she would try to respond only in songs; she recently started playing the piano so this was an opportunity for her to practice while still managing to have a little fun on a Saturday night. Before I go any further, I just want to emphasize just how incredibly awesome it is that Yasmine decided to do this when she was hanging out at home alone; this wasn't a highly publicized event, it was a purely genuine and spontaneous way for her to interact and connect with her Krew on a deeper level in a more intimate setting. I will always stand by my belief that Krewella is more dedica...

I have a prediction: What trap was to 2013, deep house will be to 2014. While I have personally always enjoyed the sub-genre, I am starting to see more and more producers experiment with it, as well as more and more positive audience receptions.
Here's a track that I think many fans will enjoy, as it combines the mainstream hit Reload with a very deep house vibe . The Socialytes recently released their remix of Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash's beloved banger with a very different perspective.
Its melodic ambience mixed with the beautiful lyrics of Reload create a unique combination that, if done wrong, could have been completely disastrous. Luckily The Socialytes pulled it...

FTampa is on his game with his Vicious21 remix of Avicii's Jailbait. The Brazilian native took on a big room sound in his twist of the classic Avicii song; blasting high energy that is sure to keep a crowd dancing. The intensity of this remix only lets up for a brief moment mid-track in order to build back up into an exuberant and catchy hit.
Purchase the song here & be sure to check out the rest of the 21 Years of Vicious compilation album.
A name you are going to want to know more about is Mexpha, the deep/future house producer from the United Kingdom who has a knack for more than just music, but today that's all we are going to be focusing on. Three singles from the producer's arsenal are shone bright in this artist spotlight that ranges from purchasable, to free to an unsigned steam-only.
Juicy club vibes emanate from his productions, most notably in his remix of Twin Peaks "Parallel" and his single "Everything." However, even when Bradley get's into his more future style like with "Figment Paradise," he manages to keep the fervor and dance-able grooves. His Soundcloud dates to two years back and the progression hi...
For the past few weeks, I have been working at a small law office. My sole work activity is to scan documents, individually. One. At. A. Time. That's all. I can safely say that over the past three weeks, I have scanned over 9,000 individual documents. Can you understand how mind-numbing that is? Thankfully, with all of that time, I was able to go through a lot of my library and rediscover some albums that helped make the work day not so... well, shitty.
This list is subjective and in no way serves to act as a be-all, end-all list of greatest albums.
1. Monday: Azedia - Life Goes On
It's Monday. First day of the work week. Boooooo. You still don't really have the ene...
The Route 94 story is one we seem to see repeatedly in EDM. Coming from seemingly out of nowhere, the 20 year old London-based producer has enjoyed support from Annie Mac, Skream and Benga. Now, Rowan Jones will be celebrating after his track My Love has shot straight to No. 1, while accomplishing the impressive feat of releasing Pharrell Williams's iron grip on the top spot.
“I didn’t see it coming,” he told OfficialCharts.com. “I’m absolutely over the moon! I never thought ‘I’m gonna write a massive Number 1’ or a pop hit, or whatever, I just wrote it, and what happened just happened. I’ll be celebrating by going out for some food with my girlfriend and then throwing a MASSIVE p...
Australian trio, RUFUS are the producers who create the indie in dance music. RUFUS have released their latest album, ATLAS (out globally mid-2014), which was debuted at #1 in the Australian album charts. Their music is lively and pure, yet their simplicity is one that can’t be matched up to. As RUFUS takes on an amazing mash up of Foals’ hit single of 2013, “My Number” verses none other than Booka Shade’s classic, “Charlotte.” This is a perfect and unique combination of meshing alternative rock with electronic music. RUFUS draws attention to the vocals of Foals’ lead singer, Yannisand the euphoric rhythms of Booka Shade that is incorporated all throughout this amazing track. Listen b...
