Giorgio Moroder, the man behind megastars such as Donna Summer, has been in the industry for over four decades. He’s been called the godfather of disco as well as EDM for his work with Skrillex and Daft Punk, but has also worked with some of the biggest pop stars as well to earn three Oscars, four Golden Globes, and four Grammys among other accolades. At 75, Moroder is currently working on his next studio albumĀ Deja Vu, the first one in over 30 years. In a recent interview with Billboard, the Italian producer and songwriter gave a few keys to his success. They included: refusing to work with bands, not doing drugs (“I’m probably the only guy in Los Angeles who never took coke.”), and never selling yourself short. Watch the video below:
