For those of you seeking some more laid-back beats that still retain a smidgen of that crunked up, urban vibe, have no fear; it’s out there and we’ve got some for you. New Mexico native, Sattva Ananda, has been working tirelessly on his new album, Profane Geometry, and it is finally ready to invade your ear canals.

To give you a taste of what the full release has in store, we present you with ‘In the Night’; our favorite tune of the album and the 5th of over 15 mind-boggling creations. Sattva kicks things off in perfectly psychedelic fashion, leading with a processed vocal sample of an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ quote. Soon after, drum beats lumber out of the haze and make themselves known alongside distinctly digitalized synth and sub-bass melodies. Ambient elements a variety of errant sound effects and samples flutter in the background, lending a rich, fullness to the track and creating a uniquely palpable atmosphere. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself in a trance-like state by the end of this sense-enveloping tune; its bouncy nature and expert composition easily induces a feeling of peacefulness.

And remember, ‘In the Night’ is just one of many excellent musical works found on Sattva’s new album, Profane Geometry, which was released earlier today via Party Time Society. If you’re feeling the vibes, you can grab a copy of the full release on Beatport; in the meantime, you can stream ‘In the Night’ below. Don’t sleep on that free download either!
