Less than a day after releasing the official music video for their chart-topping single “Legacy,” Krewella is at it again, this time with a teaser for their highly anticipated collab with the biggest name in hardstyle, Headhunterz. Out of all the collabs Krewella has in the works right now, I think I speak for most of us when I say “United Kids of the World” is definitely the most exciting and groundbreaking one. Hardstyle has yet to really take off in America like it has in Europe, but if there’s one group that could be the catalyst for its breakthrough into mainstream America it’s the Krew, who are arguably the hottest act in the scene right now. As someone who’s only previously heard the collab when Krewella dropped it live, it’s really nice to finally hear a decent chunk of the studio version of this monstrous melodic hardstyle anthem.
What do you think of the track? Is it exactly what hardstyle needs to take off in America or is that never going to happen? Let us know what you think in the comments!
It could be the catalyst in America, but this is not real Hard Dance music. Headhunterz are all about Hand Dance, and yes this song has the bungee chord bass rhythm and hard bouncy kick, but it lacks what true Hard Dance has, the rise and fall and the change ups within the song. This is very reminiscent of Krewella’s “This is Not The End” with Pegboard Nerds. With Hard Dance, the vocals should never distract from the beat or groove. It remains constant. But with this, as “This Is Not The End,” the Krewella vocal solo breaks the integrity of it being a Hard Dance song.
A lot of hardstyle lovers are hating on this ”so called’ new version of hardstyle, but I think that this is exactly whats going to bring hardstyle to the U.S.
