Flume just streamed his entire new album on Facebook and on first listen, Skin is absolutely masterful. The entire record is crafted in a way that you’ll have to listen more than once, but right away Flume’s ability as a producer and visionary is clear as day.
If you’d like to skip the intro, the album begins around 8:45, and lasts almost precisely an hour. You’ll get to hear collabs with Tove Lo, Little Dragon, AlunaGeorge, and the final track of the album, his collab with Beck.
After the album concludes, Flume fields a Q&A, along with a shout out from Beck, Vince Staples, Kučka and more.

Fans have been waiting for Flume’s second album for what feels like longer than can be remembered. And though it’s still not officially out until Friday, this is a solid consolation. The album spans all manners of genres and styles, and quite often actually attempts to eschew any classification at all.
Collaborations from vocalists like Kai, Vic Mensa, Vince Staples, Kučka, and Beck give this album an already timeless feel.
It’s going to be difficult to really out-perform his debut, self-titled album, but Flume is certainly showing his evolution as a production and musician with each and every track on his sophomore LP. Not a single track feels like a filler – everything that is there is there for a reason, and it shows his vision as a creative more than anything else.
