At this point, a lot of people already know about the situation on NYE in which Marshmello fans “were forced” to listen to deadmau5 “open” up for their favorite artist, and yet were let down because his set was boring or didn’t have many drops. And while the set times could have potentially been handled better, that’s really no reason to demean an artist, especially one like deadmau5 for playing into their own wheelhouse and not the one of the artist following them.
A day later, deadmau5 decided to respond to the outrage against his set, saying that he’ll be sure to “play lil yachty vocals over dope trap beets for you and your fam” next time. Check out the full tracklist from his set on the 30th here.
apologies to everyone to had to listen to actual techno. next time i will play lil yachty vocals over dope trap beets for you and your fam
