Throughout the world of Armada Music, a very unlikely collaboration has emerged. Trance producer Alex M.O.R.P.H. has been a staple in the Armada family as his sound encompasses gorgeous melodies and beautiful vocal tracks that truly represents the emotional side of Trance. Jerome Isma-Ae on the other hand, steers his sound towards the darker end of Progressive House, opting for deep basslines and incredible atmosphere with his releases. While normal collaborations showcase the best of both worlds, their collaboration has completely thrown both of their sounds out the window and created something entirely new. Exploring uncharted territory and taking big risks in their sound is a recipe for an amazing, unique tracks within the Trance repertoire. And their single of Bang! is no exception. First showcased in Alex M.O.R.P.H.‘s highly unusual set at the ASOT 600 Expedition World Tour in New York, it was a track that completely changed his set from slightly unusual to highly risky, producing great results on the dance floor.

The fantastic approach to Bang! was about one idea: simplicity. Aesthetically speaking, this is not a very complex track in terms of melody and structure. However, within this minimalistic viewpoint comes this track’s greatest strength. Essentially, the track just speaks for itself. The drop is consistent of deep basslines, punchy bass kicks, offbeat percussion and a single vocal timbre that is reverbed on the upbeat of 2. Rather than create a piece with atmosphere and beauty, both have created what has been coined as an Ibiza style with Tech and Progressive thrown into the mix. Clearly, this is an evident Tech track, but the overall simplicity and highly unusual instrumental choices give this release a certain shine and shimmer that makes it stand out among the pack. And with this highly impressive release, we can’t wait to see what they will collaborate on next. Alex M.O.R.P.H.‘s & Jerome Isma-Ae‘s collaboration, Bang!, is out now on Armind on Beatport, so head over there and pick up this great release today.
