Trance had quite the renaissance this year to bring it back to the foreground. The massive success of the first ever Dreamstate, paired with massive live shows and albums from the genre’s biggest acts really helped bring trance back to the forefront in 2015. One of the best revivals was the long-awaited of Gouryella, a classic alias from Dutch legend Ferry Corsten. Somehow in the middle of releasing this Hello World EP Trilogy, he announced the return of Gouryella with the track “Anahera.” The resulting response was so intense, that it inspired Ferry to bring the alias back out for live shows in 2016.

Gouryella Live has been dormant for over 13 years now, long from the days when the act was the duo of Ferry and Tiesto. Even after the latter’s departure, Gouryella continued releasing with producer John Ewbank, before Ferry moved forward with his solo project and other endeavors. When “Anahera” was released this summer, it not only took the top spot on the Beatport Trance chart, but it also charted on the overall Top 10 as well. While Ferry has always been committed to bringing his fans quality trance music, the rebirth of this project promises all uplifting trance fans something they’ve never seen before from Ferry.

Throughout my career, wherever I’ve played in the world, one question that continues to crop up from the fans is when I am going to bring Gouryella back. I’ve always been incredibly touched by the love and appetite they’ve shown this side of my musical career. For the last 4, maybe 5 years, I’ve been thinking about bringing Gouryella back but just haven’t been able to find the right production when I was in the studio, that was until ‘Anahera.’ After the feedback from the fans on this latest Gouryella track, I knew it was time!”

No dates for Gouryella Live have been announced yet, but stayed tuned to for all the latest news!
