After nearly two years in the dark, the world was pleasantly surprised yesterday as one of the more iconic bands of our time announced they would be returning from the dead to bring new music to our ears in 2016.
Revealed via Twitter, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails dropped the bombshell on his followers that Nine Inch Nails is currently working on new music that will be released in 2016.
The last album Nine Inch Nails released was Hesitation Marks which was back in 2013. Since then, Trent Reznor has been working with Apple for the launch of Apple Music that came earlier this year, reports Pitchfork.
Although no other details have been revealed and the message is vague, the Trent Reznor tweet was enough to get fans across the world more than excited for the return of Nine Inch Nails and curious as to how they will sound after such 2 year hiatus.
Though Nine Inch Nails is nowhere near the “EDM” moniker that people like to use so freely, their contribution to electronic music as a whole is undeniable.
