It’s an unfortunate truth that many of today’s massive music festivals coincide with medical emergencies and arrests, but Day 2 of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas saw a minimal number of these incidents.
Of the 135,000 recorded attendees on Saturday night, approximately 40 arrests were made, with 39 being narcotics related. Emergency crews handled 212 medical calls, and even though 12 cases were evacuated to a hospital, and thankfully everyone is reported to be okay.
Additionally, a production mishap with bassPOD’s pyrotechnics caused one of the stage’s structures to catch fire. Fire marshals evacuated the area to contain the flames, and the stage was up and running once more in about an hour. One of the production employees received minor burns in the incident, but we’re glad no one was seriously hurt.
