Out tomorrow and a release we’ve genuinely been counting down the days for, is Turbo from LINK. The British artist and DJ has created a total of 6 old school rave tracks for Welcome Records, some previously released and some brand new.
One of the exclusives is ‘On A Roll,’ and we’re giving you a first play on it today. A frankly nasty intro complete with roving vocal chops, the tune descends into punchy beats and classic high-pitched samples alongside its utterly funky progressive melody. This is intensely catchy: you have been warned.
Speaking about the EP, LINK has revealed: I was hearing growing up as a kid in England, and the Turbo EP really sums up all of my influences. Everything from Trance to Techno to Hard House, and each track on this EP has a different feel or style injected in. I feel like good music has a part of a person in it, and with each track I collected and syphoned my memories and feelings and put them into them.”
