With only an anxious day left before the next legendary installment of Bassrush’s Funktion series is kicked off, it’s quite natural to play part in the communal excitement rising and trending amongst social media outlets and bass heads from near and far. The team’s reawakening of the series was an indubitable success, selling out The Regent to a packed house of dedicated drum and bass enthusiasts and again to a 3 hour Andy C performance at Exchange LA. The shared vibes were thick, the bass was superb and it definitely went down in history as one of the most important revivals of bass music Los Angeles has ever bared witness to. With the massive PK Sound system locked and loaded, even the attendees waiting in an enthusiastically-cued line could feel the bass vibrating through their chest bones teasing their heart rate to a steady, yet satisfying 174 beats per minute.

Normally when I get caught by happy surprise in a rave I have a tendency to tear off my shoe and pretend to throw it at the DJ (it’s a junglist thing, I swear). Being that I was in my room when I was caught in off-guard from my first reaction to the lineup itself, I had to take heed and refrain from chucking my Chucks at the four walls that keep me safe. With a lineup so savage and dark, as you can imagine remaining tickets are reaching a dangerously low level. With the collective lineup consisting of Calyx & Teebee, Culture Shock (Los Angeles Debut), Prolix, Mefjus, and Trouble, it’s clear to us all that we are in for quite a treat tomorrow.

We at Your EDM highly recommend you purchase your tickets…. like yesterday. They will sell out. You can purchase them here: https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1100427
