3LAU Benefits Children With Cancer Through Charity Event in Philly

The culture that surrounds dance music is about so much more than just having fun and letting loose; it is a culture that prides itself on practicing love, positivity, unity and giving.

On March 7, 3LAU is taking these efforts a step further by teaming up with Lit Ultra Bar and Off Center Events to perform a charity event in Philadelphia. A portion of the proceeds collected from 3LAU’s show will be donated to the B+ Cancer Foundation to help benefit children battling cancer.

“The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation honors the memory of Andrew, a 14-year-old athlete and ‘A’ student from Wilmington, Delaware. January 27, 2007, Andrew helped lead his team to victory in a state championship soccer tournament. Within 48 hours, he was in cardiac arrest. The diagnosis was Leukemia (AML). The doctors didn’t expect Andrew to live through the night.  Amazingly, Andrew fought for 167 days and went to Heaven on July 14, 2007.

Throughout Andrew’s illness, he inspired thousands of friends and families. We learned his blood type was B+, which became our motto throughout the fight, to “Be Positive.”  B+ reflected how Andrew lived his life and how he inspired others to do the same. Andrew’s valiant journey was chronicled in newspapers, on television and on his website, where he and his family have received visits from almost 2 million “friends” leaving messages of prayer, hope, consolation, and stories about Andrew.”

The event is set to be headlined by 3LAU with rising Philadelphia star Teknartist as opening support, and will be an 18+ show at one of the most notable EDM-clubs in the City of Brotherly love, Lit Ultra Bar.

People often use the phrase, “EDM saves lives”, but with the continued charitable efforts such as these events, the power of EDM will really be able to make a widespread difference. There are few better things than being able to party while also giving back to your community, so purchase tickets here, and get ready for a night of dancing, great music, & charity!
