Dim Mak has delivered quality collaborations recently such as “Death Star” from Moby and Darth & Vader to “HEAT” from Felix Cartal & Autoerotique. To continue this streak of excellent collabs, the label has delivered a new one from veteran producer 7 Skies and a new duo known as Marnik. These producers come together to deliver “D.G.A.F.”; an electro house project that has seen support from Blasterjaxx, Daddy’s Groove, Gareth Emery, Nicky Romero, Steve Aoki, and more.
For those seeing the name 7 Skies and expecting trance, let me give you fair warning that this song is nothing of that sort. However, that should not shy trance-addicts away from the song “D.G.A.F.”, which is an adventure all on its own. With bigger-than-life, big room atmosphere while straying away from the formula of every other big room house track, this collaboration is a bounce-fest wrapped into five and a half minutes. The vocal sample is reminiscent to the same one implemented in “Rockin & Rollin” from Fedde le Grand from last year, but the song takes a turn into a very different, yet relentlessly energetic direction. If you need a spark of fire in your weekend playlist, then this track should be implemented in there immediately.
