Hardwell is back and better than ever. There were mixed reviews about the two-time #1 DJ as he was coming off the release of his debut album, United We Are, earlier in 2015, but the Dutch titan has turned his focus back to his music, and it shows.
The second half of 2015 is Hardwell’s time to shine. The big room giant showed off his tastemaking ability at EDC Las Vegas, as he took a break from the main stage in lieu of a special hip-hop set on the Mayan Art Car. Aside from his music, Hardwell launched his charity, the United We Are Foundation, and announced an inaugural concert in Mumbai, where he will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for largest guest list by opening up his personal guest list to every single attendee. Now, Hardwell’s released his collaboration with Dannic, “Survivors,” featuring vocals by Haris.
Originally premiered on Hardwell’s Revealed Volume 6 compilation, “Survivors” brings together two of progressive house’s biggest stars for a stunning result. Atmospheric string arrangements are paired with Haris’ ethereal croons while Hardwell and Dannic slide in thumping kicks and catchy synth hooks that have come to define the Revealed Recordings head honcho. “Survivors” is out now via Revealed Recordings and you can get it on Beatport and iTunes.
Hardwell and Dannic also unveiled the music video for “Survivors.” Following an Amazon-native girl through her adventure into modern civilization, she uses an iPod with the duo’s track on it to find her way. Check it out below.
