Netflix are gearing up to release an exclusive documentary in December about the late electronic music pioneer Avicii. The documentary titled Avicii – I’m Tim will feature never before seen footage of the artist, interviews as well as his last performance at Ushuaïa, Ibiza in 2016.
The world-renowned producer and DJ died by suicide at 28-years-old in 2018 as a result of insurmountable mental health difficulties due to a strenuous tour schedule. The documentary is narrated by Avicii himself, and was directed by Henrik Burman, while it was produced by Swedish cinematographer Björn Tjärnberg and Candamo Film.
Avicii’s legacy is formidable, and continues to live on through his music which has inspired countless artists and listeners all over the world. Catch the documentary on Netflix from 31 December 2024.
