After their last hit Y3AH, a collaboration with Ansol, Toronto-based duo Dzeko & Torres have just released their Hey EP on Dim Mak records and again I am very impressed with what they have come up with. The EP’s title track, Hey, is a great sounding electro tune. The dark, agressive synths, and well placed “HEY!” sample all come together for a high energy banger. Buppy is a melodic big room tune with a punchy, funky bassline. This one reminds me a bit of a Dyro production, who has consistently been putting out gold over the last year. Wrapping things up is Check This Out, a spirited electro tune meant for peak-time play. They hit the ball out of the park with this EP, watch for Dzeko & Torres to get big in 2013.
