When people think about Canadian progressive house duos, chances are Dzeko and Torres will come to mind, maybe Project 46. Two gentlemen that are soon to be as recognizable as those two groups are Martin Kottmeier and Tristan Norton, known collectively as Young Bombs. Based out of Vancouver, these two guys have been releasing tracks together for four months now and have already amassed great success on Hype Machine, as well as accumulated plays approaching half a million.
Fun, cheery and upbeat is what one should expect from their music and they deliver on that once again with their latest release, a remix of Sigma’s “Nobody To Love”. The duo takes the vocals that should be familiar to most by now, after first being used in Kanye West’s “Bound 2”, bumps the BPM up, and adds some uptempo melodies and synth stabs. Young Bombs have been growing in popularity greatly over the past few months, with the quality of their releases growing alongside it.
