Diplo just broke the news that the leading single off of his Jack Ü collaborative project with Skrillex, “Where Are Ü Now” with Justin Bieber just reached double platinum status as certified by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America.)
Per RIAA certifications – single platinum status is achieved with 1 million total shipments, which the track reached earlier this year on July 14th, before doubling again in sales.
In an era where a majority of music online is either streamed via SoundCloud or torrented online, achieving two million in shipments is no easy feat. Congratulations for both Jack Ü and Justin Bieber are most certainly in order.
