Shambhala Music Festival is one of those places that you’ll never quite comprehend until you’re there, and even then, the magic of the Salmo River Ranch is damn near indescribable. In 2015 the festival sold out for its fifth year in a row, and for good reason: apart from the festival’s uncompromising good vibes, Skrillex, GRiZ, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jauz, Datsik Claude Von Stroke, Kygo, Pretty Lights, and way more dance music heavyweights were headlining the show.
It’s a lot like Burning Man, in that you’ll hear people talk about how utterly transforming it is, how they’ve returned with a whole new perspective, and you’ll likely nod your head and try to hold back the FOMO. But now, even if you missed out on last year’s festivities, you can re-live one of Shambhala 2015’s best sets in gorgeous 360 degree video. Sacred 360 just posted an interactive snippet of Skrillex’s performance at the Village stage, and it’s got us feelin’ some kind of way… Imagine a crossbreed between Mad Max and Tarzan, a sprinkle of Lord of the Rings, and a metric shit ton of bass packed in – that’s the Village stage, and it’s definitely the place to be when you want sound so loud that your organs vibrate.
