You have to bring the right amount of novelty while also maintaining the aspects of the original that everyone loves. inverness is no stranger to the transforming original tracks into his own, and this is most evident in his newest remix of “Kick It Up” by the legend himself, Mr. Carmack.
Starting out, inverness keeps the original breakdown from “Kick It Up” and uses it to build up his brand new edition. He doesn’t waste any time getting the meat of the track. Keeping the melody but transforming the instrument and drum patterns, inverness breathes some new life into this bass heavy classic. The rubber-band like synth, combined with well timed perc hits, and the phat bass underneath will have you coming back for more.
