Excision protégé Dion Timmer just dropped a remix of The Chainsmokers and Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” and, finally, we have a heavy bass version of the track that we can enjoy.
As much as we would have loved for the original melody to be transformed into a dubstep tune, it just doesn’t seem like it was possible. The intro is all “SJLT” but the drop is nigh indistinguishable from any other dubstep tune. We wish a little more of the melody or vocals made it in, to give it that distinct flavor, but this really could have just been a mashup.
Regardless, this will undoubtedly be played out along with the Dirtyphonics remix of “Closer” and the Pegboard Nerds remix of “Paris.” Check it out below.
