We love an electronic gem to guide us gently towards the weekend, and we have stumbled upon a gorgeous example of this thanks to Berlin producers Max + Johann. As well as Swedish vocalist Pearl Andersson, the duo has reimagined Kim Carnes’ ‘Bette Davis Eyes,’ and this is up for release now.
Produced with an elegance and real expressive depth, the all familiar tones of the melody are brought back to life by distant chimes and beautiful vocals provided by Andersson. This is an example of how to do an iconic release justice, and we can’t wait to hear more from Max + Johann.
